World Education Cluster
Education began in prehistory, as adults educated the younger in the knowledge and abilities deemed necessary in their society. In pre-literate societies, this was achieved orally and thru imitation. Story-telling passed information, values, and expertise from one technology to the next. As cultures started to increase their information beyond expertise that could be readily discovered via imitation, formal education developed. In most up to date instructional techniques of the world, secondary education comprises the formal education that happens throughout adolescence.
